The thing I need before being able to create the building system are the first step of the 3C in order to place the blocks.
What do I want? I want players being able to see their character (because there will be probably different skins/character construction). And for an exploration game I find it more appealing having a TPS camera style and it’s better for some precisions if we need to jump and climb in the future.

What do I need? I also need the player being able to add/remove blocks easily. So I need a cursor at the center of the screen and move a bit the character to the left or else players will not be able to select clearly.
That lead us to basicaly the same solution but with slightly different results.
- Basic Camera: the character can rotate indepently to the camera. By going forward the character will follow the camera rotation.
- Combat Camera: the character and the camera always have the same rotation.
Both are interesting and I am still not sure which one I should use. Maybe both, maybe only one of them. It will depend on the future features I will implement so let’s keep both of them atm.
